The year is 1943 and we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse. Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won the Allies World War II. The question is, how did a well dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler?
Jon Thoday, Producer at Avalon, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be invited to produce Operation Mincemeat in Australia and to be able to bring the show to a whole new audience. From its beginnings in a 77-seat London fringe theatre, the show is now playing simultaneously in the West End and on Broadway, with a world tour underway, so far spanning the UK and North America. Australia will be the fifth production of Operation Mincemeat and the next chapter in its extraordinary journey.”
Operation Mincemeat is currently in performances in the West End, on Broadway and has just launched its world tour, which began with a UK leg, that has recently been extended into 2027, and is now weeks into its journey across North America.
